My Story

When I was three I had a major accident that triggered a stroke and left me with left hemiplegia and then epilepsy. I have no memory of the accident. The doctors hadn't seen an accident like mine. Read more >

Next event

What’s ahead for me? Now that I have completed the Long Distance Triathlon World Championships, I am now focusing on sprint distance, in preparation for selection to the Rio Paralympics in 2016. Read more >

Recent events

In November, Nick returned from the ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships in Los Vegas, Nevada. Nick won a silver medal in the para-triathlon category for this race. This is the first time a New Zealand para-athlete has won a medal in this event. Within the same month Nick won the male para-triathlon category in the Auckland ITU Triathlon World Cup 2011 race. This qualifies him for the World Championship Grand Final in Auckland, October 2012.
